Marqly has launched an updated version of its bookmark manager with a stronger emphasis on artificial intelligence, adding automatic tagging, summaries and faster search tools aimed at helping people organize saved links with less effort.

The company is positioning the product as a free, cross-device bookmark manager that can read a page after it is saved, apply relevant tags, and organize content automatically. Marqly says the system is designed to help users search by context rather than relying only on exact keywords.

AI tagging and automatic organization

At the center of the update is AI-powered tagging. When a user saves a link, Marqly says the tool can classify the page and assign tags almost immediately. The company says this is meant to reduce the manual work that often comes with building and maintaining a large bookmark library.

Marqly also highlights a summary feature that generates a brief overview of saved pages. In the product examples, the service presents a read mode alongside AI summaries, allowing users to review the main points of a page without reopening the original site.

The company is also emphasizing search as a core feature. Instead of requiring users to remember an exact title or URL, Marqly says bookmarks can be found by text, tag, date or link. The examples on the company site show searches returning results in fractions of a second.

Reader tools, offline access and link checks

Beyond tagging and search, Marqly says the product includes a reader view intended to provide a distraction-free way to revisit saved content. It also offers offline access to stored links, which means users can browse content even when they are not connected.

The service says it can also check whether saved links are still working. In the examples shown on the product page, some saved items are marked as cached while another is identified as a 404 page, suggesting the feature is designed to flag broken or stale bookmarks.

Marqly is also promoting sync across devices, with the company saying libraries stay aligned across mobile, desktop and tablet use. The product materials show support for multiple devices and mention compatibility with several browsers.

Free tier and paid plan

The company is offering a free plan that includes up to 50 bookmarks, basic search, bookmark previews, tags, mobile and tablet access, and unlimited devices. A Pro plan is also available for users who want unlimited bookmarks and additional features such as AI-powered tools, faster search, boards and collections, highlights and notes, read mode, smart sorting and email support.

Marqly is also distributing a browser extension for Chrome, Firefox and Edge. The extension is presented as a way to save pages from the toolbar or with a keyboard shortcut, while a separate tab-saving feature is described as reducing memory use by collapsing open tabs.

The launch reflects a broader trend of productivity tools adding AI features to everyday workflows. In Marqly’s case, the company is betting that users who save large numbers of links will welcome automation that can sort, summarize and surface bookmarks with less manual organization.
