Meta is rolling out a new set of AI features on Facebook aimed at helping users search, create, and share content with less effort.

The company said the update includes AI Mode, a new search experience that uses Meta AI to answer questions inside Facebook. Instead of returning only a conventional list of links, the feature is designed to surface responses based on public posts and conversations across Meta's apps, including material from Groups and Reels. Meta says the goal is to give users answers rooted in real opinions, experiences, and recommendations shared by other people.

The search feature is being positioned as a way to move beyond basic keyword results. Users can explore content in their Feed or look for something specific, and Meta AI will help provide context from public discussions already taking place on the platform. Meta said the tool is powered by Muse Spark.

Alongside search, Meta is introducing new creative tools that rely on AI to make content creation simpler. One update expands Facebook's camera roll sharing suggestions with collage cutout templates and new transition effects for video montages. Meta said these suggestions are opt-in and can be disabled at any time, a detail the company emphasized as part of its privacy and control approach.

The new sharing tools are meant to help users turn photos and videos into ready-to-post content more quickly. Meta framed them as a way to make it easier for people to bring older or overlooked captures out of their camera rolls and turn them into polished posts without much manual editing.

Meta is also adding photo presets that let users alter their clothing, hair, and accessories using AI. The company highlighted examples such as the ability for sports fans to virtually wear a team jersey. Users can access the feature through an AI Edit icon in Stories or by using the option to restyle a profile picture with AI and choosing a wardrobe preset.

The company said these additions are part of a broader effort to make Facebook a place where AI can help with discovery as well as content creation. Meta described the tools as ways to help users find answers, create shareable content, and experiment with new styles directly in the app.

The announcement comes as major platforms continue to fold AI features into core products in an effort to keep users engaged and simplify common tasks. In Facebook's case, Meta is leaning on AI both as a search assistant and as a creative companion, while still keeping some features, including sharing suggestions, under user control.

Meta did not say in the announcement when all of the features would reach every user, but it presented the rollout as part of an ongoing expansion of AI across the Facebook experience.
