GitLab is using its Transcend virtual event to spotlight how agentic AI is being applied in software engineering, with live demos, customer perspectives and research presentations tied to its product roadmap.
The company said the online event will feature leaders from Anthropic, Mercedes Benz, Google Cloud, AWS, Cube and Compare the Market, alongside GitLab executives. The program is designed to show how organizations are deploying AI agents in software development and to present GitLab’s latest work on intelligent orchestration.
GitLab is positioning the event around what it calls smarter and more cost-effective agentic AI at scale. The company says attendees will see demonstrations of new platform capabilities, hear from technology leaders at major enterprises, and learn about upcoming product plans.
According to the event page, the company is emphasizing a context-driven approach to orchestration for software engineering. GitLab is also highlighting different consumption options as part of its broader platform strategy.
The virtual program is intended to give viewers a look at how AI is changing development workflows across large organizations. GitLab says the event will showcase examples from companies including Anthropic, Mercedes Benz, Google Cloud and AWS, which have all been listed as participants or speakers.
GitLab’s agenda includes a keynote on intelligent orchestration with its Context Engine. Scheduled speakers include CEO Bill Staples, Chief Customer Officer Sherrod Patching, and Chief Product and Marketing Officer Manav Khurana.
The event also lists Bastian Stahmer, who leads vehicle software development platform work at Mercedes Benz, Daniel Rood, director of AI for the UK, Ireland and Africa at Google Cloud, and Nick G. from Anthropic as part of the keynote session.
A separate panel, focused on the future of software innovation in the enterprise, is set to include Patching, Mans Booijink of Cube, Matteo Figus of AWS, Ryan Harvey of Compare the Market and Gene Kim, founder of IT Revolution.
GitLab is also featuring a session on software engineering productivity in the AI era. That presentation will come from Simon Obstbaum, a research scientist with Stanford SWEPR, the Stanford-led research effort referenced on the event page.
The company describes the event as a way for teams to learn from peers, examine industry research and review GitLab’s product direction. It says the virtual format will provide an opportunity to hear from practitioners as well as researchers working on how AI affects engineering productivity.
GitLab is making the event available with subtitles in English, French, German and Japanese, broadening access for an international audience.
The page also includes calls to action for a free trial and sales contact, indicating that the event doubles as a product showcase and demand-generation effort for GitLab’s DevSecOps platform.
While the event centers on software engineering, its guest list reflects a wider industry interest in agentic AI, especially for enterprise teams looking to automate more of the development process. GitLab’s message suggests it sees orchestration, context and productivity as key themes for the next phase of AI adoption in software delivery.
