Meta is expanding its wearables lineup with a new pair of AI glasses made in partnership with EssilorLuxottica. The company said the product, called Meta Glasses, builds on the technology found in its best-selling AI glasses and will be sold in multiple countries starting today.

The new glasses are positioned as a mainstream consumer product rather than a niche gadget. Meta says the line starts at $299 and comes in 26 styles, spanning different colors, lenses and frame combinations. Prescription lenses are supported, which Meta is framing as part of its effort to make the glasses more practical for everyday use.

Three frame families at launch

Meta Glasses will arrive in three frame designs. Meta Adventurer is a rectangular frame offered in standard and large sizes. Meta Fury uses a bolder shape, while Meta Glasses by Kylie is a slimmer oval style created with Kylie Jenner and inspired by her personal style.

The company is highlighting the variety of frame and lens options as a central selling point. Meta said the range is intended to make the devices feel closer to regular eyewear and easier to fit different looks and preferences.

The hardware also includes adjustable nose pads and other fit-related details. Meta described the line as being designed for long wear, with materials and styling meant to appeal to users who want AI features without sacrificing the look of conventional glasses.

AI features built in from day one

A major feature of Meta Glasses is Meta AI, which the company says is powered by its Muse Spark model from launch. Meta says this is the first AI glasses line to ship with that version of Meta AI already enabled.

The glasses include a dedicated action button for calling up Meta AI or assigning a favorite shortcut. They also support hands-free photo and video capture, open-ear speakers for audio playback and calls, and a multi-mic setup with wind noise reduction for voice commands and messaging.

Meta said the glasses are meant to work as an all-day assistant that can respond to questions, help with daily planning, and better understand what the wearer is seeing. The company is also emphasizing privacy controls and safeguards for people nearby, saying users have settings that help manage what is shared.

Battery life is another selling point. Meta says the glasses can last more than eight hours on a charge, and the included folding charging case can provide up to 40 additional hours.

Broader software updates

Meta used the launch to preview upcoming software features for its broader AI glasses category. The company plans to add a new dynamic photo mode that captures several frames at once and recommends the best shot. It also says pedestrian navigation is coming soon for displayless glasses.

Live translation is getting a larger language expansion as well. Meta says support is being added for 14 new languages, including Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Hindi and Korean.

The company said Meta AI powered by Muse Spark is not limited to the new glasses. The same system is now available on Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta glasses in the United States and Canada.

Retail availability

Meta Glasses are available now through Meta.com and a range of retail partners, including Best Buy, Amazon, Lenscrafters and Sunglass Hut, along with select additional stores. Customers can also check availability at Meta Lab locations and on product pages for individual styles.

The launch deepens Meta’s push into AI-enabled eyewear, a category the company sees as one of the most important hardware platforms for the AI era.
