Tough Tongue AI has introduced a platform it describes as an AI teammate for practicing difficult conversations. The company is targeting scenarios such as sales training, leadership coaching and job interviews, with tools designed to simulate realistic exchanges rather than simple voice chat.

The startup says its system lets users build, customize and deploy multimodal agents for teams or products. In addition to voice, the agents can work with visual elements such as whiteboards, slides, diagrams and code editors. Tough Tongue AI also says its platform can analyze tone, expressions and other conversational cues, aiming to capture more than just transcripts.

A central part of the product is a library of prebuilt scenarios. The company says users can rehearse high-stakes conversations across several categories, including sales and negotiation, leadership and management, and interview preparation. It presents the scenarios as a way to practice both structured scripts and more open-ended exchanges.

Tough Tongue AI positions itself against two common approaches in the market. One is the do-it-yourself route, where teams assemble voice agents using tools such as API-based voice platforms and then build the surrounding experience themselves. The other is prepackaged software that analyzes transcripts but may not fully account for speaking style, hesitation or body language. The company argues its approach combines faster deployment with more interactive coaching.

The platform includes integrations with tools such as Gmail, Google Sheets, HubSpot, Cal.com, Calendly, Google Meet and Zoom. Tough Tongue AI says that businesses can embed agents into their own products with a small amount of code and can also white-label the experience.

The company highlights a live demo called Paris, an AI SDR, and says the system is already being used by professionals associated with companies and schools including Google, Northwestern Kellogg, Freshworks, MongoDB, SMU, Mesa School of Business, Codeyoung, Samsung, Databricks and Ramp. The source material also features testimonials from users who say the product has helped with interview prep, sales training, client presentations and leadership practice. Those comments are presented on the company’s site as customer feedback.

Tough Tongue AI is offering several pricing tiers. A free plan includes 25 minutes with an AI agent, transcription and analysis, along with access to the scenario library. Paid individual plans start at $12 per month and $20 per month, with the higher tier adding more usage and features such as phone call and Google Meet integration. The company also lists business, growth and enterprise plans for teams, with larger minute allowances, additional seats, custom scenarios and support options.

The launch reflects a broader push in AI toward more specialized agents for work-related communication. Rather than focusing only on automated responses, Tough Tongue AI is emphasizing rehearsal, feedback and multimodal interaction as a way to help people prepare for conversations where performance matters.
